The French team Martigues Sport Cyclisme continues its partnership with DRAG Bicycles for the 2022 season!
We are glad that since 2015 the team which comes from the south of France and competes in second national division, trusts the Bulgarian bicycles DRAG Celerra, on which they’ve already won multiple victories.
The partnership happens thanks to the manager of the team – the legendary Bulgarian cyclist and three-time winner of the tour of Bulgaria – Hristo Zaykov, for whom the current coach of the Bulgarian national team – Radoslav Konstantinov competed very successfully over the past years.
There are several Bulgarian guys in the team, who will compete for Martigues in 2022, namely: Yordan Andreev, Ventzi Venkov, Martin Papanov and the newcomer, Martin Marinov from Gabrovo, who comes with fresh energy from the Bulgarian club Yantra Ispolin and for the first year will compete in the elite category. Last year, Martin set a national record for 3 km individual time trial.
We’d like to express our gratitude to the coach Hristo Zaykov, who gives a chance to the young talents from Bulgaria to compete on the European stage and thus supports the development of Bulgarian cycling.
The cycling club of the French city of Martígal was established in 1935 under the name Vélo Club Martégal, combining several different sports. In 1964, the club was renamed Martigues Sport Cycling, focusing on cycling. The history of the club is very rich and you can follow it on their website www.martiguessportcyclisme.fr.
