TORTOUR is the biggest multiday nonstop ultracycling event in the world. The race which starts and finishes in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, demands a great deal of its cyclists and crews. Riding non-stop, day and night, the athletes have to overcome the 1,000 kilometres route over several Alpine passes in only two days, either solo or in a team. Mastering this challenging adventure takes blood, sweat and tears – but the unique cycling experience and feeling of achievement is worth it!
T 123 ROGER NACHBUR (Philipps Bike Team) took 1ST PLACE in SOLO MEN Category for 39 HRS 37 MIN 53 SEC with an average of 25,4 KM/H
Roger used two bikes: DRAG Stallion and BH G7 (DRAG Celerra was his spare bike).
The Swiss started the competition at midnight with DRAG Stallion Di2 with front wheel COX 50 mm profile because the first kilometers were flat, as later on he changed between his DRAG Celerra Disk Brake Di2 with COX Drome 40 wheels and BH G7 bike.
The TORTOUR format leads over 1000 kilometres around Switzerland. The event combines the best ideas of all existing long distance races.
