“So far, the Bulgarian brand Drag hasn’t really told us anything, but they are now appearing more and more often. 20 years of brand history and a lot of passion are behind DRAG and we were allowed to test the top road model Celerra Disk Pro Di2 / Rotor. We became aware of the Celerra through Philipps Bike Team Mallorca, where Drag is offered as a new partner for rent.
The aero road bike is not only elegant in its red and black design, it also proudly shows its UCI brand, it has everything that a real road race heart is about! The monocoque carbon with tapered head tube and internal cable routing (also for the mechanical brake version) is neatly processed and well thought out.
We, in the test team were enthusiastic from the very first kilometer – in Bavaria they say “Freude am Fahren” or “pleasure while riding”! The Celerra feels at home on almost all roads. As an aero, the bike can of course score extremely stable on straight speed routes and at high downhill speeds and show its strengths, but climbing and tight corner sprints around the houses are also a lot of fun. The Celerra comes with 28mm Schwalbe One tires, which not only bring good grip but also first-class rolling behavior. The integrated seat post has a slightly moderate offset and on request we also received a Zero- offset post from Drag, with which we experience a much more aggressive riding behavior from the bike with a 73 ° seat tube angle of size M-530 mm. Top tube length is 548mm.
The special Cox wheels (own brand hand-built in Sofia by Drag) rounded off the Celerra with clean design and high quality. We don’t need to waste any words about the Shimano Ultegra Di2, but their Di2 shift brake levers fit together well with the in-house Cox Aero cockpit.
The best always comes at the end – our test bike was equipped with a Rotor ALDHU including an INspider power meter, as Drag offers the new rotor upgrade program via INspider power meter. If you buy the bike with ALDHU or VEGAST Spider-Mount crank unit at Drag, you receive a code with which you can get the INspider
for only 360 euros instead of 649 euros RRP.
Another big plus point of the ALSDHU for the INspider: Even crank lengths between 150 and 175 mm would be possible without any problems. It goes without saying that the Rotor chainrings are optionally available in oval or round, as well as in all possible shapes and sizes.
We enjoyed riding the Celerra from the Bulgarian manufacturer Drag and are looking forward to more surprises from them. We are also curious to see which other brands will come up with the Rotor INposer upgrade in the future.”
