Minchev, who came 13th in Keirin and 21st in the Sprint will be hoping to improve his performance by moving to the Drag Bluebird TTT, which has already helped the girls from the Ukranian National Team win gold at European and World Cup level. Athough Minchev’s custom Bluebird is still in the works – his exceptionally tall and athletic physique requires more than a few adjustments – he does already use a track Bluebird for training (pictured.)
Kouzov, who has also been a trainer of Bulgaria’s most succesful cyclist in recent years Ivailo Gabrovski, was able to help Minchev refine his technique during the three-day competition. Minchev’s next big event will be the World Cup in Minsk in 2013.
